First things first! If you are a super sorted person who manages everything starting from your finances to your deadlines to your dog’s vet appointment like eating a spoon of halwa then this post is not for you! I salute you. Bye 🙂 But since you are here, I am guessing you do not belong to the first category. You have reached a certain age where you are socially expected to act and talk like an adult but the maximum age of a person with whom you can resonate with is, say, seventeen! Welcome to the club 🙂 You are not alone. And definitely not abnormal (I know you have your doubts). Normal people see office chairs on their first day at work and get excited to start working and creating amazing stuff. On the other hand all you can think about is when will everyone be getting busy with…

Confinement! This word has driven us nearly crazy since a few months now. Who would have thought! None of us could ever imagine in our wildest dreams that something right out of a sci-fi movie would come true and all of us humans, almost all over the world, will have to remain confined to our respective abodes for not just a few days or weeks, but for months………. It has become a nightmare for many. Our attempts to stay positive and productive are falling short and we are losing morale as we stretch out into indefinite-ness and uncertainty. I personally feel what’s bothering us the most is the fact that we don’t know when this confinement will end. Even the people who are imprisoned know how long it’s going to be that way. But currently none of us do. I can say this since very recently I had chosen a…

Love This single four-letter-word has created an epidemic in mankind in history for as long as we can remember it. Sure, there was the struggle for power, but other than that the greatest reason why wars were fought and kingdoms were destroyed was..love. So much so, that in the modern world there has been the need to declare a specific line of crime known as “crime of passion”, which categorizes crimes that are committed out of love or emotions induced by love such as jealousy, revenge etc. Which leaves us confused and a bit lost to the whole concept of “love”. Whether we like it or not, over-dramatize it or not, we simply cannot ignore it’s existence. For those of us who grew up watching Mr. Shahrukh Khan proclaiming his undying love for his on-screen heroines and dear Leo freezing in an ocean for his beloved “Rose” it becomes easy…

Nandi Hills! We have all heard of it. We have all been there at least once. I’m talking about the residents or the even the non-residents who have visited Bangalore. Since I have moved to this city, I have been to many places surrounding it. But for some reason or another, I always seemed to miss out on the very famous Nandi Hills. My friends who have been here since longer used to tell me there’s nothing much to it. Just a view point on the top of little hill! And I always believed them. When a friend of mine from Hyderabad came over for a weekend and demanded to see the deal with her own eyes we decided to tick off the view-Nandi-Hills-sunrise from the “Top 5 things to do in Bangalore” once and for all. 😛 Nandi Hills is a hill fortress in the state of Karnataka situated…

Christmas! O the merry times! The chilly weather, the festive colors, the smell of fresh-baked fruit cakes..don’t we all love Christmas! Agreed, it’s not a festival originated in India, but since when do we differentiate! Almost every bong-originated Indian like myself has a fond memory of visiting St Paul’s in Park Street or standing in queue in front of Nahoum’s for that perfect plum cake during Christmas 🙂 Since I moved to Bangalore I have felt a void, a yearning for the colors, the madness that overcomes my “city of joy” during these days. So this time I decided to go on a quest to find the best bakery in Bangalore which has passed the test of quality over the time and has’nt compromised on it’s taste! (see-what-I-did-there!! 😉 ) With a little help from my friends who are born n brought up in Bangalore I made a list of…
